Reflections of a Layperson is one ordinary Catholic’s daily response to that question.
Written after a daily Holy Hour, each reflection is a personal response to the Gospel of the day, exploring what God might be saying through His Word and how it can be lived in the ordinary realities of family life, work, temptation, failure and the pursuit of holiness. They are not theological commentaries or official teaching, but the honest reflections of a layman trying each day to become a better disciple of Christ.
By reading someone else’s prayerful reflections, my hope is that you will be encouraged to begin making your own. Perhaps you’ll notice something in the Gospel you have never seen before. Perhaps you’ll recognise an area of your own life that Christ is gently inviting you to change. Or perhaps these reflections will simply encourage you to spend a little longer sitting with God’s Word each day.
